Hey gang, how's it going?
While I was watching a video a One Piece amv, an idea came to me.
I've seen so many ONE PIECE amvs, and there are some of them was were so breathtaking that I either had goosebumps or I even shed tears. I know it probably have been done in the past, but I thought it would be fun to organize such a thing on my Youtube channel. Therefore, I decided that I would organize a ONE PIECE AMV awards event. I wanted to post a video about it, but I wanted to make sure that I'd get all of the needed information before that.
I also am trying to rise the number of my subscribers on my channel to get more feedback activity. I love making ONE PIECE chapter reviews and sharing my points of view and talk about other topics as well, but I hardly get any comments when making these reviews and it would be good to have some conversations throughout comments. Then again, it's not as if I could spam everyone to subscribe to my channel or asking any popular Youtubers to help me harness a considerable amounts of subs. I've tried a contest in the past, but it hardly worked. But I'm not giving up.
Though the event will be carried on Youtube, I will post updates throughout the ONE PIECE FORUM BAY forum and on my blog for those not having a Youtube account.
If this thing gets a great response, it won't be just a one-time event; I would even considering doing it occasionally.
First, through the video I'll be making to announce the event, I would I intended to have some categories of course on which I, and some friends, would judge the submitted videos. So far, I came up with this so far:
- BEST STORY: Video with best creative story-telling atmosphere
- BEST GRAPHICS/VFX: Video with the best graphics/visual effects
- BEST CHARACTER TRIBUTE: Video with the best tribute done to a ONE PIECE character
- BEST ARC TRIBUTE: Video with the best tribute done to a ONE PIECE story arc
- BEST MUSIC: Video with the best joyful & upbeat music and scene combination
If you got better ideas or suggestions, please let me know.
As for submissions, I'm going to ask people to email me (in a public email I opened for the occasion), to send me a short list of their favorite AMVs. They can too submit their own AMVs as well if they want. The AMVs that are submitted the most will be kept in the finalists and through a poll I'd let the people for for their favorites from each category.
And as prizes, I'm thinking of making One-Piece-like certificates as awards. I know, it's cheap (but a good occasion to use my graphic-design skills), and trust me, if I was a millionaire, I'd give much more than that. But I'm doing this not only for the fun of it, but also to let those artists making these videos that their work is acknowledged and appreciated. I'm sure a lot of them have thousands of viewers already as reward, but still... I thought I'd make something as such as well to show my gratitude. And again, it's fun.
For the voting process, I think it would work as such:
PHASE 1: I'll ask people to send me their favorite AMVs. Probably a minimum of 5. I'll probably ask them to make sure that their list has AMVs have describes the categories.
PHASE 2: From the collected AMVs that people would have sent me by email, me and friends of mine would pick the best ones from each categories. Let's say the 5 best from each category. Now, it's not because a video has the best graphics or has like over 3 million views that it will win. I've seen AMVs who didn't even have a thousand views and the were just as majestic.
PHASE 3: The top ones from each category will be put into polls. To favor the votes, if they are 5 finalists from each category for example, then I'll allow people to vote for three different videos. And the most popular videos from each category will win the award.
PHASE 4: I'll probably make a last poll to decide the ultimate best AMV among the winners of the categories.
So yeah, that's about it so far.
They are many things and details that I must think of, but if you guys could suggest me some ideas, that would be much appreciated.
Thank you guys!

Change Of Artist For Two Projects
Greetings everyone, I hope you’re doing well, I have been juggling some things in the webcomic projects and I meant to do some changes in the betterment of their developments. HEART OF WILDFIRE I’ve had met some difficulties in the development of the pages when it came to Heart Of Wildfire story project. I thought things were heading toward a good direction, but a further analysis on my part made me realize that it wasn’t the case. Which is why it made me take an important decision: to continue the story with a different artist in the hope of bringing this story to the goal I aspire to reach. SairamGTZ has a phenomenal artwork style and I’ve been curiously asking myself what would be the results of seeing his style into a story such as Heart Of Wildfire. After some test pages, my answer was clear: my expectations were blown out of the park. And so, we decided to combine our talents to make this happen. I am hopeful that this partnership will be fruitful and optimistic. WINGS &
Back On Track (Hopefully)
Greetings everyone, how are you doing? It has been a while since I have updated anything from my webcomic projects. Since the month of March 2023, I have been focusing more on streaming, building an audience on Twitch and my own computer, etc. While this new venture was amazing to explore, it was consuming in time and finances. And worse, this streaming business has nearly halted any production regarding my webcomic projects due to the lack of financial resources that I had put into developing my streaming avenue. On that note, I’d like to apologize for neglecting my webcomic projects. But fear not, I am now more than dedicated to return to the production of more pages. And hopefully I can gather more funds for the continuation of those stories starting later in the month of June. I have been thinking of perhaps trying to use Kickstarter to fully finance chapter 01 of Heart Of Wildfire. I did try GoFundMe; quite frankly, other than some of my friends, there was no support despite
Patreon and Ko-Fi - Changes in Rewards
Greetings everyone, As youalready know, I possess a Ko-Fi page to show you previews of the projects that I’m working on with some of the most talented artists that I know. I also have a Patreon page, but this one unfortunately has zero patrons since its creation. One person once offered a pledge of 50$ only have it cancelled in the next 10 minutes😅😔. I must put the blame on me for such results as I became in more preference for the Ko-Fi system of offering the options of doing one-time donations. And yet, that aspect later came to bite me harshly. I decided to have some changes in the reward system when it comes to the donations. I’d like to make my Patreon page livelier and more striving, and also I’d like to take advantage of its monthly donation system which can guarantee me to have some financial help to for my projects, unless the patron(s) decide to not support anymore. Do note that I really enjoy using Ko-Fi and that I have no intention of stopping utilizing it.
4 OF A KIND and EARTH ANGEL: United!
Greetings everyone! Among the three webcomic projects that I’m writing, one of them is call EARTH ANGEL. The synopsis tells the tale of a young college girl, Zara, meeting Gregoriel, an angel that accidentally falls from Heaven. Discovering that she has spiritual powers, Greg takes her under her wing (no pun intended), and together they fight against the presence of evil spirits and demons in the city of Montreal (my hometown). When I first created the project ACE & GREG: GEEK TALES OF FANTASY, it was supposed to be a fantasy and comedic slice-of-life series featuring our two avatars of ourselves. In a certain way, considering the story revolves around the meeting of an angelic being and a mortal, ACE & GREG and EARTH ANGEL are very similar, like two sides of a coin. The difference is that one of them has story and character development, while the other, as mentioned before, is focused on one-shots pages of comedy and fantasy. At least, that’s what it was supposed to be. At first
